On December 7, a charitable concert dedicated to St. Nicholas Day took place, organized by the team of the L.I. Medved Research Center. This project, which has been running for nearly a quarter of a century, had not been held at the National Opera for the past five years due to the pandemic and the full-scale invasion. Now, this cherished tradition has been revived!

On November 11, the world premiere of Dmytro Bortnyansky's opera "Creonte" took place in Kyiv at the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The unique cultural heritage, which for almost 250 years was considered lost to humanity forever.

For more than five months, the social project "Symphony of Ukrainian Fairy Tales" took place, during which Kyiv Classic Orchestra held 10 inclusive and interactive events for children with disabilities and youngsters who suffered physical and mental trauma as a result of the war.

On July 12, 2024, the Ukraine National Specialized Children's Hospital “Okhmatdyt” honored the memory of the victims of the russian attack on July 8. At the beginning, a prayer service led by Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kyiv and all Ukraine, was held near the destroyed ward of Ukraine's largest children's hospital.

On May 25, Benaroya Hall hosted a charity concert “A Child's Dream is Peace”. All the funds raised will be used for the treatment and rehabilitation of children at the Okhmatdyt Hospital affected by Russian aggression. The concert was supported by The Humanity Funds, an American foundation headed by Silke and Craig Johnstone.

In December 2023, Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, hosted the premiere of the 500-year-old compositions of Crimean Tatar composer and artist Gazi II Geray Khan, which were originally performed in the khan's palaces.

"Kyiv Classic" has completed a significant, pertinent, and much-needed project "Psychological recovery of the children, military, residents of de-occupied territories by means of art therapy". The initiative managed to apply an integrative approach and combine musical art with psychological science.

More than 70 music therapy sessions were held by the musicians for patients at the Kyiv Children's Hospital Ohmatdyt. The program of psychological recovery of children through music therapy began in June. Since then, musicians have conducted more than 70 sessions for young patients.

On August 19, 2023, the capital of Ukraine marked World Humanitarian Day. As part of the event, a photo exhibition of the works was organized in St. Sophia Square. The exhibition is dedicated to the efforts of humanitarian organizations that work tirelessly to ensure that millions of war-affected people receive the help they need.

For the first time in Ukraine, the largest children's hospital in Kyiv, Ohmatdyt, organized a session of psychological recovery for children affected by Russian aggression using music therapy.

Since 2020, it has become a good tradition that the team of the Ecohyntox Institute and the Kyiv Classic Orchestra have been holding a "Musical Prayer for Ukrainian Medics" concert. On June 21, they "prayed" not only for the Ukrainian medical workers, but also for our soldiers.

UNESCO Director-General, Ms. Audrey Azoulay, arrived in Kyiv at the beginning of April for an official visit. Together with the First Lady of Ukraine, Mrs. Olena Zelenska, they visited St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv, where a musical performance by the Kyiv Classical Orchestra under the direction of Herman Makarenko was organized for the distinguished guests.

The visit of Madame Audrey Azoulay, the UNESCO Director General, to Ukraine in April 2023 marked a significant occasion for our country. The distinguished guest arrived in the capital and began her visit there. The First Lady, Mrs. Olena Zelenska, met Madam Azoulay. The meeting was held in the shrine of our people – St. Sophia Cathedral.

On March 9, the world's first UNESCO Chair in Music "Music, Education, Science - for Peace" was opened at Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music. On this occasion, the Kyiv Classical Symphony Orchestra performed on Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv.

The Kyiv Classic Orchestra continues to carry out the "Ukrainian violin - 1000 years" project of the collective of L.I.Medved's Research Center - ECOGINTOX. Following a unique gift for Ukraine's Independence Day, we have created "Four Seasons in Buenos Aires," a piece of music by Astor Piazzolla, as a gift for Ukraine's Defenders Day.

The Kyiv Classic Orchestra, led by UNESCO Artist for Peace Herman Makarenko, performed and recorded "The Four Seasons," a cycle of concerts for violin and orchestra by world famous Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi, dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine.

On June 19, 2022, a spiritual and artistic event "Musical Prayer for Ukrainian Medics" took place in Kyiv on the occasion of the Day of the Medical Worker. "Musical Prayer for Ukrainian Medics" provided an opportunity to realize orchestra musicians artistic talent in such trying times.

A concert of peace at the call of the President of Ukraine "Free sky", initiated by UNESCO Artist for Peace Herman Makarenko, was held by the Kyiv Classic Orchestra at the Maidan on March 9, the day of Taras Shevchenko's birthday. Today, Ukraine shows deep respect to its heroes – to the family of thousands of dedicated medical workers who have been protecting us throughout the pandemic, doing everything possible to save us from diseases.

For the first time, a large-scale art project was held in Ukraine with the support of the leaders of WHO and UNESCO, which shows the significant potential of Ukrainian culture. His initiative to unite artists in the fight against the pandemic and the crisis caused by the COVID-19 was supported by UNESCO Artists for Peace around the world.

The creative collaboration of UNESCO Artists for Peace, Hedva Ser and Herman Makarenko has been embodied in a joint project. Artists created an artistic message - the anthem "Tree of Peace" based on the sculpture with the same name by the famous French sculptor UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Hedva Ser.

The very next day after the adult ball, on April 14, the III Children's Vienna Ball took place in Kyiv. This year, a record number of debutants attended the ball. More than 200 young dancers opened the Children's Viennese Ball at the Kyiv City Hall with a polonaise by Cyrus in the best traditions of the real Viennese Ball.
