Vienna_ball_Junior_01_2019_(small)III Junior Viennese Ball in Kyiv took part the next day after the adult ball - on April 14th. This year there was a record number of debutants participating the ball. More than 200 young dancers have opened the Junior Viennese Ball in Kyiv Mayor's Administration Hall with Karl Ziehrer’s Polonaise according to the best traditions of Viennese Balls. Throughout the ball, the young debutants struck with their ability to dance waltz, polonaise, polka, as well as compositions from the famous Snow White, Aladdin, Rapunzel and others fairy tales in various musical styles accompanied by the «Kyiv-Classic» symphony orchestra. The entire musical palette of this evening was created by the UNESCO Artist for the Peace - Maestro German Makarenko. Well-known choreographers Elena Baldzhi and Andrey Diky were engaged in the preparation and choreographic performance of the ball dances and helped to uncover the talents of young debutants.

Among the debutants, students of the Kyiv Center for the Rehabilitation of Children with Disabilities, who have been participating in the Junior Ball for the third year in a row, demonstrated their dancing skills. This time they prepared and performed the foxtrot dance.

Charity remains one of the main features of all Viennese Balls all around the world. As well as in previous years, charity funds were raised during an adult Viennese Ball - during the charity auction 416 000 UAH was raised for the needs of the Rehabilitation Center. Ball gown outfits for children from Rehabilitation Center were created by the famous Ukrainian designer Sergey Smolin.

This ball impressed all present, both young participants and their parents, not only with beauty, elegance and fascinating program, but also with the new Ukrainian record that was set that evening: everyone present had the opportunity not only to see, but also to taste the biggest candy in Ukraine weighing 22 kg, which was made specifically for the ball.

Vienna_ball_01_2019_(small)On April 13, 2019, the III Charity Vienna Ball was held in the Column Hall of the Kyiv City State Administration under the patronage of the Vienna City Hall and the Kyiv City Hall. This ball was dedicated to the centenary of the statehood of Ukraine. And that is why, along with the classical European traditions, the Ukrainian theme was the big part of this evening. In the artistic program of the ball, songs of Ukrainian authors - Nikolai Lysenko, Konstantin Dankievich, Vladimir Ivasyuk were performed along with classical Austrian melodies. The design of the hall was also filled by ornaments in the style of Ukrainian embroidered shirts, and guests of the ball had the opportunity to try Ukrainian dishes. This evening the ball was attended by the organizers of the balls of Vienna, Oslo, Amsterdam, etc. They had a magical opportunity to experience the beauty of Ukrainian culture, which created an unrivaled atmosphere for the event.

The ball itself is a complex multi-faceted event that requires careful preparation. The orchestra created the refined emotional atmosphere of the ball, have been preparing for this event for a long time. After all, it was very important for the orchestra to provide several creative parts of the ball with wonderful magic music: the official opening, debutants grand entrance, the artistic program and, of course, the dance program, which lasted throughout the evening and ended well after midnight. The performers were both outstanding stars of classical art - Honored Artists of Ukraine Olga Fomicheva and Kristina Shishpor, the ballet dancer of the National Opera of Ukraine Ksenia Ivanenko, People's Artist of Ukraine Natalya Valevskaya, and young talented performers - Bogdan Kireev, Vera Skibitskaya, etc.

Kyiv-Classic expresses its gratitude to partners and the exclusive organizer of the Charity Viennese Ball in Kyiv - the “Brandberg” company, as well as to the entire creative team that prepared this strikingly unique event.
