Vienna_ball_01_2018_(small)In the middle of spring on April 21, the Charity Viennese Ball of was held in the Ukrainian capital, together with the Children's Viennese Ball on all the next day. These events took place in the Columns Hall of the Kyiv City State Administration. The tradition of holding Viennese balls, which carry the ideas of goodness, beauty, mutual understanding, and humanism was renewed in the capital of Ukraine last year after a ten-year pause.

This spring, the ball coincided with the arrival of UEFA Champions League Cups in Kyiv, so it is not surprising that the main topic of the ball was sport achievements. As the mayor of Kyiv - Vitaliy Klichko noted during his opening speech, "... it is symbolic that the Viennese Ball in Kyiv is devoted to sports and sportsmen, paralympic athletes, ATO soldiers and children with special needs take part in it".

Charity was and remains one of the attributes of Viennese balls. The ball in Kyiv was not an exception: this year 833,000 uah were collected, which will go to the needs of the «Kyiv Center for Social Rehabilitation for Children with Disabilities».

According to the canons of the Viennese balls, the Kyiv Viennese Ball was opened by 35 pairs of debutants to the music of "Polonaise" by Karl Ziehrer.

The artistic program of the ball was provided and accompanied throughout the evening by "Kyiv-Classic" symphonic orchestra, under the direction of the UNESCO Artist for Peace, Ambassador of Ukrainian Culture, People's Artist of Ukraine - Herman Makarenko. The well-known performers Susanna Chakhoyan, Christian Drescher, pianist and composer Eugene Khmara, as well as young performers Mariam Ravashdeh and Alexander Yupatov took part in the art program.

Representatives of the Vienna Ballroom Committee and the Ballroom Committee of Paris attended the ball in Kyiv.

China_Spring_Festival_01_2018_(small)For more than four millennia, the Chinese people are celebrating the coming of the New Year, which symbolizes the beginning of a spring. This year, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ukraine marked this event by a "Joyful holiday of spring", presenting to the Ukrainian audience the performance of the world-famous Chinese band "The Miraculous Event of Hunan Province".

All the guests who gathered on February 8 at the National Opera of Ukraine had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the ancient traditions of the Chinese people. Bright dances of people of "yao", "tujia", "dai", "meao", folk Chinese songs, incredible acrobatic performances were accented with beautiful well-known Chinese melodies performed by "Kyiv-Classic" symphonic orchestra under the direction of the UNESCO Artist for Peace - Herman Makarenko.

"Kyiv-Classic" expresses gratitude to the organizers of the event - the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine and personally to the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of China to Ukraine - Mr. Du Wei, as well as the "Brandberg" group of companies, represented by the Director – Mrs. Marina Ignatusha for the organization and successful holding a Chinese New Year's holiday.

Japanese_Culture_Ukraine_01_2018_(small)The entire 2017 was held under the auspices of Japanese culture in Ukraine. During this time, many interesting cultural events were held, in which artists from Japan participated and showed the depth, variety and unique beauty of Japanese culture.

At the end of the Year of Japanese Culture in Ukraine on February 2, Mr. Nakamura Daichi the winner 2017 International Johannes Brahms Competition gave a concert in Kiev, accompanied by "Kyiv-Classic" chamber orchestra.

The program included works by I.S. Bach, A. Vivaldi, F. Kreisler and of course Japanese folk melodies, which were warmly greeted by the audience.

Strauss_01_2017_(small)It has been 10 years since at the end of each December the magical, festive and cheerful music of Strauss family sounded on the stage of the National Opera of Ukraine. This year the Anniversary "New Year's Strauss-Concert" was held on December 28-29. The program of the concert included some of the best works that have been performed during the whole life of the project, among them the overture from the operetta "The Bat", the Polish Mazurka "Praise to Women", "The Viennese Blood", "Radetsky March", waltz "The Beautiful blue Danube", as well as other also famous and well known works. Strauss's magic melodies were performed by soloists of the National Opera of Ukraine: honored artists of Ukraine - Natalia Nikolaishin, Olga Fomicheva, Sergey Pashchuk, Alexander Boyko, Dmitry Ageyev. Surprises for the audience were prepared by the ballet dancers of the National Opera of Ukraine.

The festive mood for all present on this evening was created by "Kyiv-Classic" symphonic orchestra under the direction of UNESCO Artist for Peace, Ambassador of Ukrainian Culture, People's Artist of Ukraine - Herman Makarenko.

China_Tour_01_2017_(small)From 15 to 31 December 2017, "Kyiv-Classic" symphonic orchestra had tour performances in the cities of China with the program "Ukraine is My Motherland". The spectators from Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Zhuhai, Xining, Lanzhou, Jinan, Dezhou had the opportunity to get acquainted with the musical culture of Ukraine, enjoying the works by M. Lysenko, S. Gulak-Artemovsky, M. Skorik, Y. Shevchenko, as well as folklore Ukrainian melodies, performed by soloists - Honored Art Worker of Ukraine Vasily Viznyuk and Vasily Palanyuk. The second part of the concert was devoted to the music by the world famous composers from countries that are geographical neighbors of Ukraine.

"Kyiv-Classic" expresses sincere gratitude to the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine in the People's Republic of China, CPAA Company and all who made efforts for orchestra successful performances in China.
