Over the years, the Institute of Ecological Hygiene and Toxicology «EKOGIINTOKS» holds patronage, cultural projects, a kind of report and the final completion of which is rightly considered to be a concert of St. Nicholas Day at the National Opera of Ukraine. This year was not an exception and December 19 the collective of Institute presented for the ninth time an unforgettable evening of beautiful music...

As the director of the Institute – M.D., professor, corresponding member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Doctor of Ukraine Mykola Prodanchuk mentioned: "Preparing this concert, we would like not only aesthetic pleasure from the magical sounds of voices and orchestra stays with you for a long time, but that we all together have opened a new pearl in domestic and foreign classical music, listened to our famous and very young performers, and this concert supported our optimism and belief in our people, in our country, in good future. "

Each concert dedicated to St. Nicholas Day offers an original, unique program, many works of which are performed for the first time in Kiev. So, in this evening for the first time audience could enjoy II and III part of the «Concert for Violin and orchestra  №5» by Niccolo Paganini (soloist Tatiana Byshiva - violin «Ariana» by Master Florian Yuriev). The works of Johann Sebastian Bach - Gounod - «Ave Maria», Antonio Vivaldi – «Gloria», Camille Saint-Saens – «The Swan» (soloist Lyudmila Pshenichnaya - cello «Hmyrya» by Master Florian Yuriev) and others were an excellent continuation of the celebration.

The fragment of the symphonic cantata «Carmina Burana» by Carl Orff – «O, Fortuna!» by the «Kyiv-Classic» orchestra, a children's choir «Lyubava» (art director - Elena Tarasova), and the choir «Credo» (art director Bogdan Plish) was the grand finale of the the act I.

Besides the overture to the opera «Taras Bulba» by N.Lysenko, a virtuoso performance of «Rhapsody in Bukovina» performed by Vasil Viznyuk and «Shumko-Gopak» byYuri Shevchenko conveyed the unique beauty, enthusiasm and national identity of Ukrainian music.

Oleg Moroz, the winner of numerous international competitions, soulfully having performed «Mother's Tears» by Ivo Papazov and «Carnival of Venice» by Giuseppe Pieri did not leave anyone indifferent in the hall.

At the end of the evening by a good and old tradition the music of Strauss family – «Reitermarsch», and the finale of the operetta «Der Förster», performing by honored artist of Ukraine S. Pashchuk, winners of international competitions O. Fomicheva, I. Voloshchuk, D. Ageev and M. Gumenoy-Petrovsky, for the first time in Ukraine was presented to guests at the National Opera of Ukraine.
