Polish_Concert_Premiere_01_2017_(small)It is the second time when May 3rd Constitution Day in Ukraine is celebrated with a big concert at the National Opera of Ukraine. This year, the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine joined the celebration of this European historical event, since the date of 1791 – the date of signing of the Constitution has been already celebrated in Lithuania as a state holiday for 10 years.

This evening the most famous musical compositions of outstanding Polish, Lithuanian and Ukrainian composers were performed: Frederic Chopin, Stanislav Moniuszko, Wojciech Kilar, Mikalojus Čiurlionis, Osvaldas Balakauskas, Vytautas Barkauskas, Miroslav Skorik, and others. Choral fantasies for Polish and Lithuanian themes, created from famous and well-known musical melodies of these countries, performed by the National Choir Academic of Ukraine "Dumka" and "Kyiv-Classic" symphony orchestra became a pleasant surprise for all those present in the hall.

Among the invited guests of the "Concert Premiere" on the stage was Adam Kruszewski - soloist of the Grand Theater in Warsaw. He performed "The Sword-Bearer Aria" from the opera "The Haunted Manor" and "Stanislaus Song" from the opera "Verbum Nobile" by Stanislaw Moniuszko. Rokas Zubovas - a guest from Lithuania, the pianist, the direct descendant of Mikalojus Čiurlionis, performed several piano pieces by his great-grandfather, united in a single composition called "Cosmic Meditation".

"Kyiv-Classic" expresses the gratitude for fruitful and positive cooperation to the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine in the person of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary - Mr. Jan Pieklo; to the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine in the person of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary - Mr. Marius Janukonis; the strategic partners - PKN Orlen, ORLEN Lietuva, the main partners - Ken-Pak Ukraine, Kredobank, PZU Ukraine Insurance Group, NOVUS, Zhitlobud Construction Company, PLASTICS-Ukraine, International Association of Polish Entrepreneurs in Ukraine and all the partners of the event, this solemn evening could be possible.

Vienna_ball_01_2017_(small)Над проектом работают более 400 специалистов – хореографы, декораторы, дизайнеры, сценаристы и другие профессионалы. Сегодня начался официальный отбор дебютантов, которые выступят на балу 27-28 октября. Их подготовка продлится четыре месяца.

Торжественная атмосфера, роскошные наряды и волшебные звуки вальса – именно таким должен быть Венский бал. Провести его организаторы планируют по всем традициям и канонам. Чтобы все прошло на высоком уровне, готовиться начали заранее. Уже с 27 апреля желающие выступить на балу могут подавать заявки на конкурс.

– Дебютанткой может стать незамужняя девушка от 16 до 23 лет, ее партнером – мужчина 18-28 лет. Все заявки будет рассматривать специальная комиссия, потом с кандидатами проведут собеседования, оценят их знание бального этикета и умение танцевать вальс, – поясняет соорганизатор Венского бала в Киеве Марина Игнатуша.

Дебютировать на паркете осенью этого года смогут и самые маленькие танцоры: организаторы запланировали провести первый Венский бал для детей. Готовить юных дебютантов будут хореографы Лилия Ребрик и Андрей Дикий.

– Мы очень высоко подняли планку, наша задача сейчас – сделать так, чтобы другие страны на нас равнялись. Со взрослыми работать намного легче, а деткам нужно правильно донести идею мероприятия, объяснить, как себя вести, – говорит хореограф Андрей Дикий.

Чтобы пополнить ряды дебютантов, необходимо будет сделать членский взнос – 1500 гривен со взрослого участника и 700 – с ребенка. Попасть на мероприятие можно и в качестве гостя – стоимость входных билетов составит от одной до 12 тысяч гривен.

Венский бал в Киеве пройдет при поддержке Министерства иностранных дел Украины и Национальной комиссии Украины по делам ЮНЕСКО, а также мэров Киева и Вены – Виталия Кличко и Михаэля Хойпля.

– Венский бал в Киеве – это важная имиджевая акция для Киева и Украины в целом. Мы хотим, чтобы гости из Европы увидели, какая у нас дружелюбная и мирная страна, –рассказал председатель оргкомитета Герман Макаренко.

Среди приглашенных гостей ожидают VIP-персон из Австрии, Украины и других европейских стран. Поскольку мероприятие благотворительное – все вырученные деньги обещают направить на программы реабилитации воинов АТО, а также на развитие Киевского центра социальной реабилитации детей-инвалидов.

UNESCO_Annual_Meeting_01_2017_(small)The main principles of UNESCO - peace, understanding, tolerance, cooperation should be conveyed to the public of all the countries in the world. The solution of these problems the "Artists for peace" Institution was created for by UNESCO, where outstanding artists from all over the world could disseminate and implement them through their creativity, works of art and wide public activities.

On 20 April 2017, the Annual Meeting of UNESCO Goodwill Ambassadors and Artists for peace was held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. Representatives of many countries attended the meeting, which was opened by the Director-General, Ms. Irina Bokova. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss pressing issues and maximize the full realization of the tasks that Artists for peace and Goodwill Ambassadors face in disseminating the main messages of the United Nations and UNESCO, in particular.

During the Annual Meeting, a representative from Ukraine, the Artist for Peace, Mr. Herman Makarenko was invited to give a speech. He informed and invited Honorary and Goodwill Ambassadors to active cooperation within the framework of the "Concerts for Peace" project with the participation of the Global Harmony Orchestra. In addition to this project, he told about implementing UNESCO education program for teaching music through the electronic music education system. Both projects will be implemented in cooperation with Mr. Suvra Chakraborty, with whom many international projects have been created, in particular, the activity of the "Kiev-Classic" Symphony Orchestra.

At the end of his speech, Maestro Makarenko informed all present about the holding of the Charity Vienna Ball and the Charity Children's Vienna Ball in Kiev in October 2017, completing his presentation with the official invitation to the Director-General of UNESCO, Ms. Irina Bokova.

Strauss_01_2016_(small)Excellent winter weather, frost, snowflakes, which are weightlessly circling in the air - all this brings us closer to the New Year holidays, the festive mood raises the. Only the music of the Strauss family can create a real New Year's fairy tale.

IX Charity "New Year's Strauss-concert" was held December 28 - 29 at the best hall of the capital of Ukraine - National Opera. As always, as the visiting card of this project the overture to the operetta "Die Fledermaus", the waltz "On the Magical Blue Danube", "Radetzky March" were performed during the concert. Throughout the evening, the audience had the opportunity to admire the waltzes, polkas, marches, quadrille, gallop of the famous and outstanding Strauss family. Overture "Prince Methuselah" and "Polka explosion" were performed for the first time in Ukraine.

The unforgettable moments of true enjoyment for the audience were presented by the leading soloists of the National Opera of Ukraine - Honored Artist of Ukraine Natalia Nikolaishin, Olga Fomicheva, Sergey Pashchuk, Winners of international competitions - Dmitry Ageev, Andrey Maslakov, along with the chorus "Credo" under the direction of Bogdan Plish. As always this project was not without its highlights and surprises, including Ded Moroz at the beginning of the concert lighting the Christmas tree, looking for a lost bag with gifts and in the end, finally finding it, he gave all the New Year's gifts to the audience.

This year's "New Year's Strauss-concert" with the author of the project - UNESCO Artist for Peace, Ambassador of the Ukrainian culture - Maestro Herman Makarenko was implemented by a chief director of the National Opera of Ukraine, laureate of the Taras Shevchenko State Prize, People's Artist of Ukraine - Anatoly Solovyanenko, The ballet artistic director of the National Opera of Ukraine, People's Artist of Ukraine - Aniko Rekhviashvili, chief choirmaster of the National Opera of Ukraine, Honored Artist of Ukraine - Bohdan Plish.

"Kyiv-Classic" expresses the great gratitude to partners and organizers of the concert - "Brandberg" and "AMC" companies.

Part of the funds, collected from the IX Charity "New Year's Strauss-Concert" will be transferred to the young patients of the National Children's Specialized Hospital "OKHMATDYT".

UNESCO_Artist_for_Peace_01_2016_(small)November 29 a significant event - designation ceremony of Maestro Herman Makarenko with an international UNESCO title "Artist for peace" was held.

The solemn event was held right in the heart of Paris - UNESCO Headquarters. The ceremony was attended by the permanent representatives of the Member States of UNESCO, members of the UNESCO Secretariat, Goodwill Ambassadors, guests of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UNESCO and many other distinguished persons.

The ceremony, conducted by Head of Protocol of Director-General, began with an invitation to the stage of "Kyiv-Classic" chamber orchestra. Further, UNESCO Director-General - Ms. Irina Bokova was invited to give a speech. She noted Maestro Herman Makarenko’s fruitful and multifaceted activities, which was the basis for the decision to award him the honorary UNESCO title "Artist for Peace".
At the end of her speech from the stage of the festive hall, Ms. Bokova personally handed to Mr. Makarenko document-confirmation of high international title. The Head of Protocol invited Maestro to make his speech. He expressed his gratitude for such a great honor that has been given, in particular, to Ukraine, Ukrainian culture, collectives, which he productively works in - National Opera of Ukraine and "Kyiv-Classic" orchestra and him personally. Then he noted that it is the music, which can express his feelings. Next, the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to UNESCO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in France - Mr. Oleh Shamshur was invited to the stage. After his speech, the gala concert by "Kyiv-Classic" chamber orchestra began. By this concert program, which consisted of music from all over the world: Australia, North and South America, Africa, Asia, Europe and, of course, the Ukrainian melodies, Maestro wanted to unite all humankind and send a message of peace to the world community from the UNESCO headquarters.

During the concert Maestro expressed his gratitude to "Plastics-Ukraine Company", the Union of Armenians of Ukraine, "Electric Marathon", "International Airlines of Ukraine", the Brandberg Group of companies, "AMC," which made this performance of the orchestra at the ceremony possible.

Sincere applause of all present, the cries of "Bravo!" were heard throughout the concert. This performance was a bright chord of completion of ceremony and certain triumph of the Ukrainian musical culture, which was worthily represented at the highest international arena at the UNESCO headquarters.

"Kyiv-Classic" expresses the words of sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, UN Office in Ukraine, the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UNESCO, as well as partners, due to which the concert of "Kyiv-Classic" chamber orchestra at UNESCO Headquarters took place: "Plastics", The Union of Armenians of Ukraine, "Electric Marathon", "International airlines of Ukraine", "Brandberg", "AMC".
