Strauss_01_2016_(small)Excellent winter weather, frost, snowflakes, which are weightlessly circling in the air - all this brings us closer to the New Year holidays, the festive mood raises the. Only the music of the Strauss family can create a real New Year's fairy tale.

IX Charity "New Year's Strauss-concert" was held December 28 - 29 at the best hall of the capital of Ukraine - National Opera. As always, as the visiting card of this project the overture to the operetta "Die Fledermaus", the waltz "On the Magical Blue Danube", "Radetzky March" were performed during the concert. Throughout the evening, the audience had the opportunity to admire the waltzes, polkas, marches, quadrille, gallop of the famous and outstanding Strauss family. Overture "Prince Methuselah" and "Polka explosion" were performed for the first time in Ukraine.

The unforgettable moments of true enjoyment for the audience were presented by the leading soloists of the National Opera of Ukraine - Honored Artist of Ukraine Natalia Nikolaishin, Olga Fomicheva, Sergey Pashchuk, Winners of international competitions - Dmitry Ageev, Andrey Maslakov, along with the chorus "Credo" under the direction of Bogdan Plish. As always this project was not without its highlights and surprises, including Ded Moroz at the beginning of the concert lighting the Christmas tree, looking for a lost bag with gifts and in the end, finally finding it, he gave all the New Year's gifts to the audience.

This year's "New Year's Strauss-concert" with the author of the project - UNESCO Artist for Peace, Ambassador of the Ukrainian culture - Maestro Herman Makarenko was implemented by a chief director of the National Opera of Ukraine, laureate of the Taras Shevchenko State Prize, People's Artist of Ukraine - Anatoly Solovyanenko, The ballet artistic director of the National Opera of Ukraine, People's Artist of Ukraine - Aniko Rekhviashvili, chief choirmaster of the National Opera of Ukraine, Honored Artist of Ukraine - Bohdan Plish.

"Kyiv-Classic" expresses the great gratitude to partners and organizers of the concert - "Brandberg" and "AMC" companies.

Part of the funds, collected from the IX Charity "New Year's Strauss-Concert" will be transferred to the young patients of the National Children's Specialized Hospital "OKHMATDYT".

UNESCO_Artist_for_Peace_01_2016_(small)November 29 a significant event - designation ceremony of Maestro Herman Makarenko with an international UNESCO title "Artist for peace" was held.

The solemn event was held right in the heart of Paris - UNESCO Headquarters. The ceremony was attended by the permanent representatives of the Member States of UNESCO, members of the UNESCO Secretariat, Goodwill Ambassadors, guests of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UNESCO and many other distinguished persons.

The ceremony, conducted by Head of Protocol of Director-General, began with an invitation to the stage of "Kyiv-Classic" chamber orchestra. Further, UNESCO Director-General - Ms. Irina Bokova was invited to give a speech. She noted Maestro Herman Makarenko’s fruitful and multifaceted activities, which was the basis for the decision to award him the honorary UNESCO title "Artist for Peace".
At the end of her speech from the stage of the festive hall, Ms. Bokova personally handed to Mr. Makarenko document-confirmation of high international title. The Head of Protocol invited Maestro to make his speech. He expressed his gratitude for such a great honor that has been given, in particular, to Ukraine, Ukrainian culture, collectives, which he productively works in - National Opera of Ukraine and "Kyiv-Classic" orchestra and him personally. Then he noted that it is the music, which can express his feelings. Next, the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to UNESCO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in France - Mr. Oleh Shamshur was invited to the stage. After his speech, the gala concert by "Kyiv-Classic" chamber orchestra began. By this concert program, which consisted of music from all over the world: Australia, North and South America, Africa, Asia, Europe and, of course, the Ukrainian melodies, Maestro wanted to unite all humankind and send a message of peace to the world community from the UNESCO headquarters.

During the concert Maestro expressed his gratitude to "Plastics-Ukraine Company", the Union of Armenians of Ukraine, "Electric Marathon", "International Airlines of Ukraine", the Brandberg Group of companies, "AMC," which made this performance of the orchestra at the ceremony possible.

Sincere applause of all present, the cries of "Bravo!" were heard throughout the concert. This performance was a bright chord of completion of ceremony and certain triumph of the Ukrainian musical culture, which was worthily represented at the highest international arena at the UNESCO headquarters.

"Kyiv-Classic" expresses the words of sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, UN Office in Ukraine, the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UNESCO, as well as partners, due to which the concert of "Kyiv-Classic" chamber orchestra at UNESCO Headquarters took place: "Plastics", The Union of Armenians of Ukraine, "Electric Marathon", "International airlines of Ukraine", "Brandberg", "AMC".

UNESCO_Artist_for_Peace_01_2016_(small)Вперше в своїй історії Україна отримала високе визнання та була відзначена міжнародною нагородою ЮНЕСКО «Артист в ім'я миру».

Її володарем став Посол української культури, диригент Національної опери України, художній керівник - головний диригент оркестру «Київ-Класик», Народний артист України, доктор, професор - Герман Макаренко.

За процедурою вручення номінант має прибути до штаб-квартири ЮНЕСКО і отримати нагороду особисто від Генерального директора ЮНЕСКО.

29-го листопада цього року відбудеться урочиста церемонія вручення звання «Артист в ім'я миру» нашому співвітчизнику - Герману Макаренку. Нагороду вручатиме Генеральний директор ЮНЕСКО - пані Ірина Бокова. Після церемонії нагородження заплановано концерт камерного складу оркестру «Київ-Класик», в програмі якого звучатиме музика зі всіх континентів: Австралії, Південної та Північної Америки, Африки, Азії, Європи.

Програма концерту через мелодії різних країн світу певним чином об'єднує все людство, це - своєрідний меседж миру, який Україна надсилає країнам світової співдружності зі штаб-квартири ЮНЕСКО.

Anna_Herman_01_2016_(small)A few years ago "Kyiv-Classic" orchestra had the honor to participate in the creation of 10-series movie "Mystery of white angel" about the outstanding Polish singer - Anna German. This film received positive reviews from multimillion audience of Ukraine, Poland, Russia, the CIS countries and other foreign countries.

Recently, we received a mail from the users of social networks with the most moving piece of the film, where the song "Echoes of Love" is performed.

With great pleasure we have discovered that this piece lives its independent creative life and raised more than half a million views. We would like everyone once again to enjoy this magical voice of "White Angel" - Anna German.

Polish_Concert_Premiere_01_2016_(small)The first functional European constitution was the Constitution of May 3, which in 1791 has been proclaimed by the Polish king Stanislaw August Poniatowski. The Polacks, Lithuanians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, and many other nationalities, which were part of the state, in those times called «Rzeczpospolita», have started to live according to this basic law.

In the "Concert Premiere", which was dedicated to the National Holiday of the Republic of Poland in the National Opera of Ukraine May 10, was played the music of outstanding, world famous Polish composers: Frederic Chopin, Henryk Wieniawski, Stanislaw Moniuszko, Michal Oginski and Wojciech Kilar. For the first time the public had the opportunity to hear the "Fantasia on Polish folk melodies" and "Polish-Ukrainian musical wreath", which were created especially for this grand event.

The true musical decoration of the festive evening was the performance of the Niccolo Paganini International Violin Competition Grand Prix owner, the winner of many international competitions - the violinist Mariusz Patyra, who accepted the invitation of the Polish Institute in Kyiv and found in his busy tour schedule an opportunity to perform in the capital of Ukraine. With great skill and elegance, virtuosity and inspiration Mr. Patyra with a symphony orchestra "Kyiv-Classic" performed "Kujawiak" by Henryk Wieniawski, "Nocturne" by Frederic Chopin and "Concert Polonaise" by Henryk Wieniawski...
